WELCOME to VI Farmers Cooperative

The Virgin Island Farmers Cooperative, Inc. (VIFC) is a 521(a) farmers cooperative organization. It was established in 2005, under the guidance of Dale and Yvette Browne, to assist farmers with production, marketing, and group purchasing; and to provide a voice for increasing agricultural production in the territory. The cooperative consists of a group of farmers, who have come together to make farming a viable and marketable industry and a reality in the U.S. Virgin Islands, especially St. Croix. The aim of the cooperative is two-folds. We work towards improving the conditions of agriculture in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the implementation of marketing strategies that will take advantage of the bounty that is produced locally and make it available year around to the islands resident and eventually export.

Since the organization began, the Cooperative has worked towards improving production and making the industry an economic stimulus in the territory. We believe that together we can bring prosperity back to the islands and create a sustainable future for the next generation.
